Identifying tools:

When you hold your mouse over the individual tools, the names of the tools pop up on the screen in Photoshop.
Just move your mouse along the toolbar, and pause over a tool to see what that tool is.

1. The top left tool is the regular Marquette Tool. With that tool you can draw a box around anything to select it.
It has other options by holding the mouse over it, such as the oval marquette and the single line vertical and horizantal marquettes.

Popout Menus
You'll notice that some of the tools have a tiny black arrow on the bottom of that button. This indicated that when you hold your mouse over that button, the tool has more options that are available from a popout menu. Hover your mouse over the top left and you'll pull up the pop-up box for that tool.

3. The top right tool is the move tool.
You need to have this selected to move things around on the page . You need to have it selected to save things, and copy and paste..
Back to tutorial 2. From the marquee popout menu, comes the crop tool. With the crop tool you can crop (cut) out a picture from a larger image to make it smaller, and choose what you want to save from that image. Drag a box around the area that you want to save, then press enter. (You can rotate the selection by moving the mouse to a corner of the selection , then when the arrow turns to a curved arrow, drag in the direction that you want it to turn, to adjust it)
