-continued tools in Photoshop
5. Use the pen tool to draw a path around individual items, such as people, so that they can be copied and placed into other images. 4. The lasso tool allows you to select parts of a picture by drawing a line around it in sections. Just click, release the mouse, move to another spot, click and release the mouse, till you get back to the beginning.
Then you can copy the selected area.
You can also use it to select areas that you want to work on. If you have an area selected, and use the air brush, for example, the paint only goes inside the area that you have selected.
The lasso tool has different options. with the round one, you can draw a continuous line, instead of creating it in sections.
6. At the bottom of the toolbar, you'll see two squares, one black and one white. This allows you to choose colors for the background and foreground.
The top left square is for the foreground and the bottom right one is for the background. You can open either one by double clicking on it to pull up the palette for that item.
At the bottom left is a double square like the big one. Click on the small double square to restore the default colors, black and white.
Click on the curved arrow to switch the colors.
